Ohio Amber Alert canceled for 13-year-old girl reportedly abducted from Columbus

Authorities say Mackenzie Hall was last seen on South Huron Avenue near Westgate Park in the Hilltop neighborhood. She was found safe in Springfield.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Amber Alert was canceled for a 13-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted in Columbus on Friday.

Authorities say Mackenzie Hall was last seen on South Huron Avenue near Westgate Park in the Hilltop neighborhood at 10:08 a.m. State authorities canceled the Amber Alert around 6:25 p.m. 

Mackenzie's family told 10TV that the teen was found safe at her grandmother's house in Springfield.

Authorities were searching for the suspect in the case, 48-year-old Shane Smith,

Authorities were looking for a white 2004 Ford Ranger with an Ohio license plate vehicle HRW 1901. The vehicle was found in Park Layne, a city in Clark County.

Authorities did not say if they were still looking for Smith.
