OHIO, USA — The Social Security Administration has released the most popular baby names in Ohio for 2021. Oliver and Olivia topped the list.
The top five boys' names in the state are: Oliver, Liam, Noah, Henry, and Lincoln. The top five girls name in Ohio are: Olivia, Charlotte, Emma, Amelia, and Ava.
Last week, the Social Security Administration announced that the most popular baby names in the country for boys were: Liam, Noah, Oliver, Elijah, James, William, Benjamin, Lucas, Henry and Theodore. Meanwhile, the most popular names in the country for girls are: Olivia, Emma, Charlotte, Amelia, Ava, Sophia, Isabella, Mia, Evelyn, and Harper.
The Social Security Administration began compiling the most popular baby name list in 1997 with names dating back to 1880. When a child is born, parents supply the name to the agency when applying for a child's Social Security card, thus making Social Security the country's source for the most popular baby names.
