Bride-to-be loses engagement ring on Put-in-Bay, police say

Put-in-Bay police believe its likely the ring was lost somewhere in the downtown area.

PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — Police in Put-in-Bay are asking for the public's help in locating a missing engagement ring of a bride-to-be.

In a Facebook post, the Put-in-Bay Police Department says an Indiana woman was set to get married on Saturday. Unfortunately, she lost her engagement ring somewhere on the island. Put-in-Bay police believe its likely the ring was lost downtown. 

If anyone finds the ring, please take it to the Put-in-Bay Police Department. 

Is there a reward? Well, in a way, yes. 

"The bride-to-be will be forever grateful to you! Her wedding day will be saved! And in addition to the admiration you will receive from everyone who follows this page, you will get a photo with Chief Kimble and an awesome, collectable, Put-in-Bay Police patch," the department's Facebook added.
