ELMWOOD PLACE, Ohio — Investigators in Hamilton County have identified the remains found in Elmwood Place near Cincinnati as 34-year-old Jeffery Miller of Greenwich in Huron County.
Col. Eric S. Bartlett, the Chief of Police of Elmwood Place, says the investigation is ongoing, however foul play is not suspected.
According to Cincinnati NBC affiliate WLWT, the remains were located on Monday night near a train trestle. Investigators said the remains were "badly decomposed" when found.
Detectives add that the area where the remains were found is often frequented by the homeless and drug users.
Investigators are checking for witnesses, security video and missing persons reports that could provide any clues.
