MANSFIELD - Two firefighters sustained minor injuries after a commercial building caught fire on Saturday morning.
A spokesperson for the Mansfield Fire Department said that a call came in at approximately 11:30 a.m. Saturday at South Diamond Street and South Adams. Heavy smoke was coming from the building.
The blaze at 290 S. Adams St. took a large amount of firefighters to fight off, the spokesperson said 10 extra were called out to the scene to help put out the blaze.
The commercial building, which has apartments on upper floors, had no occupants at the time of the fire.
The two firefighters who sought medical treatment for minor injuries both have been released and are currently back to work.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
