'GO!' morning show goes back to school: Watch special coverage featuring Lorain City Schools, the high school marching band and a teacher surprise

It all culminated when our team arrived for a pep rally at George Daniel Field in Lorain where we also revealed a special surprise live on the air.

LORAIN, Ohio — Can you believe it?!?!

Summer break is coming to an end as students across Northeast Ohio head back to school -- and the GO! morning show celebrated the return to the classroom with a very special newscast from Lorain on Wednesday morning.

Here's a look at all the moments from our back-to-school special -- including several appearances with the Lorain High School marching band and a big surprise for one local teacher.

LORAIN CITY SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT JEFF GRAHAM

The adventure began as 3News' Danita Harris and Dave Chudowsky climbed aboard a school bus to talk with Lorain City Schools Superintendent Jeff Graham for a live interview, which you can see in the video below.

SURPRISE FOR 2ND GRADE TEACHER MIRIAM SADO

Sado, who teaches at Hawthorne Elementary School in Lorain, joined our live coverage from inside the school bus where she shared the following message for students and parents before the school year begins:

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH

Lorain City Schools will host their 4th annual Back-To-School Bash from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, at Black River Landing.

“We will celebrate the beginning of the school year with free food, refreshments, games, inflatables, music, performances, freebies and giveaways,” according to the district’s site. “Get ready to meet your school's leadership team and many of our dedicated teachers and staff members who are eager to show you what it means to be a Titan. We play hard because we know our team works hard all year long.”
