CLEVELAND — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will hold its "Light The Night" event to celebrate, honor, and remember those touched by blood cancers in Cleveland next month.
The event is set for Sunday, October 1, at Wade Oval in University Circle starting at 5:30 p.m.
Light the Night brings friends, families, schools, corporate teams, and sponsors together with the goal of "bringing light to the darkness of cancer." Funds raised by the event go towards lifesaving research, advocacy and support for blood cancer patients and their families.
WKYC Studios is serving as a media partner for this year's Light The Night as we pay tribute to our sports anchor and dear friend, Jim Donovan, who is receiving treatment for leukemia and is on medical leave. WKYC will have a tent at the event and a team taking part in the walk at Wade Oval.
