College Now of Greater Cleveland needs mentors for students heading to college this fall

Over 1,000 mentors are needed and the qualifications and process to sign up is easy.

Remember your college days?

Let’s face it. When you first walked onto campus, you were likely a little scared, a little intimidated, anxious and excited. That’s why College Now of Greater Cleveland is looking for mentors to help new students navigate those waters.

To be a mentor you have to have a two or four-year college degree and a willingness to give back. You’ll be trained, then matched with a student based on things like major or interests. College Now also requires you to communicate with your student through two emails per month and three face to face get-togethers per year, which College Now provides. If you can’t make an event, you can communicate through social media or even texting.

To learn more about becoming a mentor or to sign up go to  https://www.collegenowgc.org/. The deadline to apply is March 1.
