PARMA, Ohio — On Sunday Parma firefighters responded to a fire in a building at the former Parmadale Children's home.
Crews arriving on the scene noticed heavy smoke coming from the basement and roof of one of the buildings at the former orphanage property.
The building was abandoned and unoccupied at the time of the fire and after a search, crews found no victims.
Crews were able to contain the fire quickly and no injuries were reported.
The Parma Fire Prevention and Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
