COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was seriously injured in a shooting near the campus of The Ohio State University on Wednesday.
The shooting happened in the 1600 block of North High Street around 8:25 p.m. according to the Columbus Division of Police.
The victim was taken to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. Police on scene said their condition is now described as stable.
North High Street was shut down in the area but has since reopened.
Editor's note: Police initially said the shooting happened at 1680 North High Street, the address for United Dairy Farmers. Police on the scene later said someone called 911 from the store, but that is not where the shooting happened. Dispatchers also initially said two suspects were taken into custody, but the assault squad later told 10TV there were no arrests.
