PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — A deadly crash on Friday has left one boy dead and his father and two brothers seriously hurt, a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Ravenna Post said.
The accident happened on Friday, September 23, around 7:45 a.m. in Brimfield Township.
Investigators say a 35-year-old Kent man was driving his 2008 Infiniti QX56 southbound on County Road 11 (Sunnybrook Road) when it traveled off the right side of the road, then flipped several times into an embankment.
The man and his three juvenile sons were ejected from the car.
All four were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.
According to OSHP, 11-year-old Donald F. Robinson III died from his injuries at the hospital. The conditions of his other family members were not immediately released.
Brimfield Police said in a FB post that Donald F. Robinson was a football player for Field Middle School. "There simply are no words that can sufficiently express our sorrow," the department said.
