RAVENNA, Ohio — Court documents show Ravenna police arrested two people they believe to be involved in operating brothels out of two different massage parlor locations in Ravenna.
The filings show police arrested Ravenna resident Hongxiang Lui at U-Foot Spa Asian Massage on North Chestnut Street, about a block away from the Portage County Courthouse.
"I saw two undercovers and then I saw the truck and people leaving the truck with the cameras," one Ravenna resident who chose not to be named said, describing the scene.
Authorities also arrested New Castle, Pennsylvania, resident Aijuan Xiong for allegedly being involved in operations at another location just outside downtown Ravenna.
"It's crazy," the city resident added. "I've lived here for the past year and a half, and not knowing what's going on in your own town kind of scares you."
Xiong and Lui were taken into custody Monday. The pair is currently being held in jail on a $5,000 bond and are due back in court this Friday.
