CHARLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Police arrested two men in connection with a suspicious fire that occurred Nov. 3.
Joseph Wray, 18, of Ravenna, and Benjamin Lallathin, 25,of no known address, were arrested Thursday.
The fire occurred Nov. 3 at the 6500 block of Cableline Road. The structure is the former home of the Park Manager for West Branch State Park but is not currently occupied.
Initial evidence indicated that the fire was not accidental in nature.
On Nov. 5, detectives returned to the scene on a report that multiple subjects appeared to be removing items from the location. Two of the subjects were identified as Wray and Lallathin.
Police obtained evidence that Wray and Lallathin were persons of interest in the fire. The two men evaded capture once charges were obtained.
On Thursday, officers located Wray and Lallathin and took them into custody without incident.
Wray and Lallathin are charged with second-degree felonious aggravated arson. They were arraigned Nov. 20 and bond was set at 10 percent $100,000 cash or surety.
