KENT, Ohio — A 14-year-old Kent student was arrested on Wednesday for making violent threats against a fellow classmate.
According to Kent police, the Stanton Middle School student allegedly threatened to shoot another student and possibly cause harm to others.
School administration, along with Kent officers, conducted a short investigation after the report came in. No weapon was found in the student's possession or on school property.
Kent police arrested the 14-year-old and charged the student with a felony count of making terrorist threats and a misdemeanor count of aggravated menacing.
The suspect is currently in custody at the Portage County Juvenile Detention Center.
