ROOTSTOWN, Ohio — Summa Health is preparing to open their new Medical Center in Rootstown later this month at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
“We are proud to build on our longstanding relationship of almost 50 years with NEOMED, a partnership that has proven to be beneficial not just to the medical community, but to the families we serve,” said Summa Health, President and CEO Cliff Deveny, M.D.“Not only will this facility fill needed medical services for this community that we are honored to provide, it will also give medical students additional opportunities to learn and grow.”
The Rootstown Medical Center, located at 4211 Route 44, will offer a list of services, including urgent care, behavioral health, cardiology, corporate health, neurology, gynecologic oncology, primary care, weight management and LabCare PLUS.
The facility will open to patients on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Now we will all be able to access outstanding health care right in our own backyard.”
Beginning on Oct. 1, Summa Health will be operating the Rootstown Community Pharmacy, located on the NEOMED campus. The pharmacy will operate under the name Summa Rootstown Community Pharmacy.

Summa Health also recently opened Summa Health Therapy at Rootstown across the street that provides physical therapy, orthopedic sports medicine and other services to the community.
Summa Health will be hosting an open house event on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 1-3 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, facility tours and more.
