CLEVELAND — Officials at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are investigating Friday after a potential security breach.
According to a Cleveland Hopkins spokesperson, a man drove his car through a secured gate in a restricted area around 9 a.m. The area is described as a zone that only maintenance vehicles would have access to navigate.
Official security measures were followed and the male driver was detained until police officials arrive. The suspect was taken to a local mental facility for evaluation. It is unknown at this time if any official charges are forthcoming.
Despite the incident, no air travel nor passengers were impacted by the disturbance.
