Mega slides are getting a second look after Sunday's death in suburban Kansas City.
A park called Ohio Dreams in Butler, Ohio, has a mega slide. Each year, many travel to take their turn flying through the air and landing in a pool.
Organizers say safety is at the top of the list.
"It's very specific in the speeds you need to reach those are the things that our life guards are looking for so everyone's safe in what we're doing here," Justin Travis, camp director, said.
It's designed for ski jumpers to train on, but next weekend only, they open to the public for what they advertise as a sports and music fest.
Life guards will be on staff throughout the entire slip and fly event.
