ROCKY RIVER, Ohio — For months, the thought of summer days and evenings at local parks were shuttered due to coroanvirus fears. However, on Tuesday, the City of Rocky River announced that it would begin reopening its parks and playgrounds Wednesday, June 10.
The parks reopening includes the use of playground structures and basketball courts as well as the replacement of swings.
The recreation department says they have developed a cleaning program but can not ensure that facilities will be cleaned after every use. In an effort protect the health and safety of park visitors, officials are asking guests to comply with the following protocols:
• If you aren’t feeling well, please stay home.
• Wash your (and your child’s) hands before and after visiting our parks and using our playgrounds.
• Keep a 6’ social distance from others when on or around playground structures.
• Take personal responsibility for yourself and your family by using good judgement when visiting our parks.
• If using a picnic area or table, please wipe down spaces before and after use.
