Just after 2:30 p.m. Friday, the intersection at SOM Center Road and Hawthorn Parkway has been completely reopened to traffic after all repairs have been made and the streets were treated and plowed.
Thursday evening, officials closed SOM Center Road between Miles Road and Cannon Road at Hawthorn Parkway and it remained closed through mid-afternoon Friday.
The road was closed due to an accident that left live wires in the road.
CEI made repairs to damaged electrical poles.
Local access for residents and essential traffic was maintained via Miles Rd/91 south to Brighton Park and Cannon Rd/91 north to Meadow Lane.
