Stark County Sheriff's Office: 2 arrested following drug bust in Canton

Law enforcement officials found and seized multiple substances believed to be fentanyl and cocaine, along with approximately two pounds of methamphetamine.

CANTON, Ohio — A 21-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested following a drug bust in Canton.

On Tuesday, March 26, the Stark County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit, alongside the Canton Regional SWAT Team and the Canton City Police Department’s Coordinated Response Team, executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of Shriver Street, NE, in Canton. 

During the search, law enforcement officials found and seized multiple substances believed to be fentanyl and cocaine, as well as approximately two pounds of methamphetamine. Additionally, a handgun and over $8,000 was confiscated. 

“This drug enforcement operation highlights our commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks and ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities,” explained Stark County Sheriff George T. Maier. “Through collaboration with local law enforcement partners, the Metro Narcotics Unit continues to make significant strides in the fight against drug-related crime in Stark County.

As a result of the findings, Karee McCarroll of Canton was arrested and is facing the following charges: 

  • Possession of cocaine
  • Aggravated trafficking in drugs
  • Trafficking in a controlled substance
  • Possession of a fentanyl-related compound
  • Trafficking in cocaine
  • Aggravated possession of drugs
  • Having weapons under disability

In addition, the Stark County Sheriff's Office says that the juvenile associated with the case is facing similar charges, excluding the weapons-related charge.
