CLEVELAND — A Canton man is dead after a two-vehicle crash involving his motorcycle Friday night in Stark County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

According to a news release, the fatal crash happened at around 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of Faircrest Street Southwest and Dueber Avenue Southwest in Canton Township.

Brak V. Hayhurst, 47, was driving his Yamaha motorcycle south on Dueber Avenue when he struck a driver in another car going westbound on Faircrest Street within the intersection, troopers said. Troopers said Hayhurst was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Hayhurst was pronounced dead at the scene.
