EAST SPARTA, Ohio — One person was rescued by the East Sparta Fire Department after a home explosion in Stark County on Tuesday.
Officials say they responded to the scene in the 5000 block of Dueber Avenue Southwest at 5:41 p.m.
Upon arriving, firefighters rescued one person and transported them to a local hospital. Their condition was not reported.
According to a Facebook post from the East Sparta Fire Department, the fire was extinguished and officials secured the property.
At this time, the Ohio State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the explosion.
The East Sparta Fire Department was assisted by the Canton Township Fire Department and Bolivar Fire Department.
