Ohio State Highway Patrol investigating fatal two-car crash in Stark County

Both drivers were killed in the crash.

CANTON, Ohio — *Editor's Note: The video in the player above is from a previous report. 

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two car crash that took place early Tuesday morning. 

Trooper responded to the crash at the intersection of Ohio Route 183 and Price Street NE in Lexington Township in Stark County around 6:40 a.m.

At the scene, officials learned that a 2019 Nissan Altima traveled left of center crashing head on into a 2015 Ford Fusion. The impact caused the Nissan to catch fire and become engulfed in flames.

The Nissan was driven by 28-year-old Jonathan Walker of Alliance, Ohio, while the Fusion was driven by 32year-old Kera Lemasters-Leskovec of Atwater, Ohio. 

Both drivers died as a result of the crash. Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. 

Lexington Township and Atwater Fire Departments along with the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted with the crash.
