CANTON, Ohio -- The FBI made an early morning drug bust at a home on Greenfield Avenue SW on Friday.
Nearly two dozen people were reportedly arrested for cocaine trafficking, according to the FBI.
The FBI announced in a news conference Friday morning of a 47-count drug indictment. More than 23 suspects were identified in connection with a major cocaine trafficking ring in Canton.
A two-year investigation, named "Operation Javelin," revealed its methods of transporting cocaine throughout the area. The cocaine supply originated from Columbus, Ohio, where it was later transported and distributed throughout the area.
More than 70 federal and locals officials took part in the investigation. The operation resulted in officials seizing $80,000 in crash, 18 guns, 19 vehicles and 6 kilos of cocaine.
