STARK COUNTY, Ohio — As wet weather continues to bring soggy conditions to Labor Day weekend plans throughout Northeast Ohio, multiple counties are also under a Flood Watch until 11 p.m. Monday night. The impacted counties are listed below:
- Ashland
- Carroll
- Columbiana
- Coshocton
- Holmes
- Mahoning
- Richland
- Stark
- Trumbull
- Tuscarawas
- Wayne
“The Flood Watch is really in place because of the rainfall we acquired yesterday throughout the day," explains 3News meteorologist Payton Domschke. "Most of these areas have already completely saturated the ground, some picking up way too much rain in a short period of time – and they’re expected to get more today.”
Boardman is one of those areas dealing with flooding concerns, which you can see in the video below...

Domschke said some areas of the Flood Watch zone have already picked up more than four inches of rain.
“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations,” according to the weather alert as issued by the National Weather Service.
The forecast says more rain is expected again today.
“Some of these thunderstorms could train over the same areas and produce locally heavy rainfall on already saturated ground,” according to the National Weather Service.
Residents in these areas are urged to be prepared with more advice posted HERE.
