NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Editor's note: the video in the player above is from a previous, unrelated story.
A 93-year-old man appears to have fatally shot his 89-year-old wife before turning the gun on himself at a North Canton senior living community on Monday.

According to North Canton Police, emergency personnel responded to a private residence in the senior housing located at 850 Applegrove St NE at 7:17 p.m. on Monday after staff reported that they had found the residents unresponsive. Both residents were determined to be deceased upon arrival.
Police said that it appeared that the man shot his wife before shooting himself and that the Stark County Coroners investigator responded to the scene. A note for the family was left at the scene.
Facility staff told police that they last had contact with the couple around 3:15 p.m. Around 7 p.m., the staff performed a welfare check on the couple as they thought it was odd they had not been called back to the residence for further assistance. After finding the couple, the staff promptly called for assistance.
3News is not naming the couple involved at this time.
