According to the OSHP, the crash happened on Saturday at 3:15 a.m. on Sandy Avenue at State Route 43 in Canton Township.

A silver 2003 Chevrolet Blazer was driving north on Sandy Avenue before it drove off the left side of the road, striking two guardrails. The vehicle overturned and ejected the driver and passenger.

25-year-old Tyler Scullion of Canton was found with "incapacitating injuries" and was taken to Aultman Hospital in Canton.

23-year-old Kyle Gill of Canton was found dead nearly 75 feet away from the vehicle.

Preliminary investigation reveals that seatbelts were not used in the crash and that alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are still working to determine where the occupants were seated in the car at the time of the crash.

The Stark County Coroner, Canton Towing and Canton Township Fire & EMS all responded to the crash.
