37-year-old woman shot, killed at Stark County home

STARK COUNTY, Ohio — An investigation is underway after a woman was shot and killed at her home in Stark County.

The Stark County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 25, at around 10:29 p.m. in the 16000 block of Coledale Street NE in Paris Township. 

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found 37-year-old Ashley Rose Shumaker, a resident of the home, deceased from a single gunshot wound. 

Officials say another member of the home who was involved in the incident has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation. 

At this time, no other details have been released and the shooting remains under investigation.
