COVENTRY TOWNSHIP -- An Akron man is facing charges after authorities say he drove his SUV into multiple cars before crashing into a Dunkin Donuts store.

It happened Saturday morning at the Dunkin Donuts location on Manchester Road. According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, 70-year-old William Lavery was in the drive-thru lane when he put his 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe in reverse and struck another vehicle, causing it to strike a third. Lavery drove his SUV forward into a fourth vehicle, which struck a fifth.

Lavery's SUV side-swiped another vehicle before he crashed into the front of the store, striking a pedestrian inside.
