TALLMADGE, Ohio — The Akron Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a 44-year-old man.
On Tuesday, March 22, 19-year-old Ahmad Yassin was driving his 2016 Chevy Cruze on East Avenue around 9 p.m. According to police, Yassin struck a man wearing dark clothing who was walking in the roadway.
The victim was identified as Terry D'Water. D'Water was pronounced dead at the scene, by the Summit County Coroner’s Office, as a result of injuries sustained during the crash.
Police say Yassin was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol and drug are not believed to be factors in the accident at this time.
