Copley High School put on 'partial lockdown' after threat

The school also received a threat to specific students back in mid-October.

COPLEY, Ohio -- Just before noon Wednesday, the Copley High School administration received information that was threatening in nature, according to a message sent by the Copley-Fairlawn School District.

"There was no indication of an immediate threat. We worked in cooperation with the Copley Police Department and took steps to ensure the safety of our students and staff," the message continued.

"We initiated a partial lockdown and had the building checked by police working dogs."

"There was no need to evacuate the building. The administrators and police department are reviewing school video as part of the ongoing investigation. School will open as usual tomorrow," it read.

The school also received a threat to specific students back in mid-October.
