CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Cuyahoga Falls High School has lifted a lockdown that went into effect on Thursday morning after a student received a threat via social media. The school has since moved to a place and secure, with students able to resume classes.
According to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, the threat came from an unknown individual who was threatening to come to the school. Subsequently, lockdown procedures were initiated with police on the scene at the high school.
Cuyahoga Falls Police say that a preliminary investigation has indicated that the threats originated from outside the United States.
CFHS moved into its place and secure at 10:37 a.m. While students are now able to change classes and resume their education, parents who wish to pick up their children are able to do so following the school's sign-out protocols. Parents who want to pick up their kids are asked to do so at the following locations based on the first letter of their last name:
- Last names A-G: Welcome Center
- Last names H-O: Thomas Court
- Last names P-Z: Band Doors (Stow Ave.)
