NEW FRANKLIN, Ohio — A 42-year-old Clinton man has died following a crash Thursday night in Summit County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the one-vehicle accident happened around 10:34 p.m. when a 2008 Dodge Ram truck went off the right side of the roadway while traveling westbound on West Nimisila Road near Redbird Terrace.

The driver, who has been identified as Jon T. Miller, was ejected from the vehicle after it struck several trees, according to a press release.

Authorities say Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s office.

“Miller was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash,” according to the Highway Patrol.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by officers from the New Franklin Township Police Department and New Franklin Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
