HUDSON, Ohio — An investigation is underway after a Cleveland State University professor was found dead with gunshot wounds during a welfare check at a Hudson residence on Wednesday night.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office says it was around 7 p.m. when Hudson police conducted a welfare check on an individual living in the 300 block of West Streetsboro Street.
When police got to the residence, they discovered a 41-year-old man dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. The man has been identified as Todd Morgan.
Cleveland State University tells 3News that Morgan was an assistant professor in the Department of Management at the Monte Ahuja College of Business.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the manner of death as homicide.
Hudson police officials tell 3News that they believe this to be an isolated incident.
