TWINSBURG, Ohio — A ramp on Interstate 480 near Route 91 is closed after a cement truck overturned this morning in Twinsburg.
It happened sometime before 8 a.m.
According to Twinsburg fire, the crash caused a "fuel spill" and the truck was blocking the road. The department urged drivers to choose an alternative route and avoid the area.
The truck driver, according to Twinsburg fire, was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. He was "conscious and talking at the scene" but his current condition is unknown.
No one else was injured.
Meanwhile, according to Twinsburg Assistant Fire Chief Steve Bosso, the cleanup process will take "a while" because the cement truck was "fully loaded." When it crashed, the saddle fuel tank split and spilled out onto the roadway.
The ramp remains closed.
