The crash happened just after 11 a.m., authorities said. All lanes were closed around the area of I-77 and Ghent Road in Bath Township. ODOT cameras showed several emergency vehicles on scene with a large backup of traffic behind them. As of 12:25 p.m., the two left lanes in both directions were blocked, with traffic able to proceed slowly as cleanup continued.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a dump truck was driving north on I-77 when it hit a concrete barrier wall and rolled over the wall into the southbound lanes before catching fire. The driver of the dump truck was rescued from the truck by firefighters and taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
