Man struck by vehicle in Green

'Prior to the accident, the man had been kicked out of a local business for being unruly and intoxicated,' according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

GREEN, Ohio — A 62-year-old man was taken to the hospital Monday night after authorities say he was struck by a vehicle in the 3800 block of South Main Street in Green.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says it was around 8:10 p.m. when deputies responded to the scene where the victim was found laying in the roadway near the intersection of South Main Street and Magua Drive.

The Green Fire Department also responded to the scene, and transported the man to an Akron hospital for treatment.

The extent of his injuries was not provided, nor was any information regarding the driver.

“Prior to the accident, the man had been kicked out of a local business for being unruly and intoxicated,” according to a press release from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident remains under investigation.
