BARBERTON, Ohio — A Summit County woman who was reported missing nearly a month ago is alive and safe.
Police located 25-year-old Ma'Ri'Ana Spaulding this past weekend in Jackson, Tennessee, about 625 miles southwest of her native Barberton. Authorities say she had been living out of her car, and officers in the area spoke with her to check on her well-being.
Spaulding's family had last seen her on Dec. 17, calling her prolonged disappearance "out of character." They also offered a $5,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of the mother of a young son.
"The Barberton Police Department would like to thank the Jackson TN Police Department as well as all other law enforcement agencies who assisted in the investigation," officials said in a statement. "We would like to thank our area media outlets along with the general public for their assistance as well."
