TALLMADGE, Ohio — Six people needed to be rescued, including three minors, after the porch of a residence in Tallmadge collapsed Tuesday afternoon.
Tallmadge Fire crews responded to a house on the 600 block of Senn Drive to help rescue multiple people who were caught in the debris of the collapsed porch.
Prior to their arrival, civilians on the scene helped rescue two children from the area. Upon further inspection of the scene, firefighters found four people trapped below a concrete slab.
Fire crews from Mogadore, Akron and the Summit County Technical Rescue Operations Team assisted Tallmadge crews in removing the four victims from the collapsed area.
In total, three minors and three adults were evaluated for injuries outside of the residence by Tallmadge and Mogadore EMS. None of the victims were transported to a hospital.
