SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Early Friday morning, Summit County Sheriff's deputies and the Summit Metro Crash Response Team were called to investigate a crash and pedestrian struck on the 2200 Turkeyfoot Lake Road in Green.
Officials say a 28-year-old woman was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on State Route 619 when her car went off the road at around 4:45 a.m. The car struck several objects and eventually came to a stop in the road.
The woman got out of her car and stood in the roadway. She was then struck by a car driven by a 27-year-old male, also from Green.
The pedestrian was taken to Akron City Hospital for serious injuries.
The incident is under investigation. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
