The incident happened at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, after the Avril Lavigne concert. The victim was transported to the hospital by the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department.

“The vehicle that struck her did not stop, they kept going,” said Summit County Sheriff Kandy Fatheree. “So, they hit her, and they kept on going. We really need people, anyone that saw anything, to step forward, give us a call, and help us find who did this.”

Fatheree says deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting the woman had been hit. They discovered she had been walking along the road near Steels Corners on the way back to her parked car.

Investigators got to work interviewing each of the 911 callers and people on scene, but Fatheree says none of them caught a glimpse of the driver or car.

Adding to the mystery, the Sheriff’s Office says there are no security cameras on the stretch of the venue where the crash happened.

“In a concert situation like this, when you’re going back to your vehicle, you should probably go with a crowd, so that you’re not alone in a dark area. Just be aware of your surroundings and pay attention,” said Fatheree.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone that has information on this incident to contact them at 330-643-2147 or 330-643-2181.
