CLEVELAND — A Stark County Township man was arrested Thursday on charges of sexually assaulting multiple children, authorities announced.
Charles Link, 71 of Plain Township, was taken into custody by members of the Summit County Sheriff's Office and charged with five first-degree felony counts of rape of a victim under the age of 13. Link is accused of sexually assaulting multiple children in the city of Green between 2000 and 2012.
Sheriff's detectives received a tip of the allegations against Link this month. Detectives are continuing to investigate Link in an attempt to determine whether there are more alleged victims.
Authorities said Link could face further charges pending the results of the investigation.
The sheriff's office asked anyone with additional information to call the detective bureau at 330-630-6217.
