RICHFIELD, Ohio — A 21-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash in Richfield on Monday night.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office and the Richfield Police Department are investigating the crash that happened at around 11:25 p.m. on I-77 South.
Officials say the victim was driving a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed and lost control. The motorcycle first struck another vehicle, then hit a tractor trailer.
The victim, identified as Jonathan Mostoller of Fairlawn, was pronounced dead at 11:44 p.m.
The drivers of the other vehicles involved in the crash were not injured.
Richfield Police Chief Michael Swanson said in a statement that an investigation is pending.
