Walsh Jesuit High School sent a message to parents informing them that an incident occurred at a party at a private home.
Police have met with students at school after their parents were looped in.
At this time, Walsh Jesuit is working with the Silver Lake Police Department as the investigation continues. While the school says it will discipline anyone who deserves it, 3News is waiting to learn if police will file any formal charges against any student(s) in attendance.
You can read Walsh Jesuit's entire message to parents below:
Recently, the Silver Lake Police Department reached out to our deans to inform them of an incident that took place in late March off school property at a private home. The police requested to meet with students here at the school and parents were informed of this request.
Following those interviews, the police have been in contact with the school several times as the investigation continues.
The school has used information garnered from the police meetings with students to discipline those who deserved such according to the school Handbook. As in all school discipline matters, the individual consequences are a private matter.
Should we receive additional information from the police or prosecutors, we will act accordingly and share what we are able to share with the Walsh Jesuit community.
Thank you.
