A Summit County sheriff's deputy is facing charges for allegedly stealing more than $40,000 from a senior citizen.
According to a news release, 42-year-old Teresa Hill is charged with theft from the elderly, a second-degree felony. Hill has been a Summit County sheriff's deputy for 15 years.
The sheriff's office says it received a complaint from an individual about the alleged offenses against a senior citizen, which occurred between January 2015 and March 2018.
In total, the theft exceeded $40,000.
