SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — A Kent man is in jail after being charged with sex crimes against an 11-year-old girl in the city of Green.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old George Reed Jr. has been charged with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and importuning after the office received information regarding these crimes on April 11, 2023.

After an investigation was initiated into the information they received, Summit County Sheriff's Office detectives determined that Reed convinced the girl to meet him for sex. Reed also sent sexually explicit pictures to the girl via Snapchat.
