AKRON, Ohio -- A Tallmadge man was sentenced Friday for receiving nude pictures of pre-teen girls.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Alison McCarty sentenced Justin Snyder, 30, to six years in prison, Summit County Sherri Bevan Walsh said in a news release.

On Nov. 6, 2015, Snyder pleaded guilty to pandering sexually oriented matter involving a juvenile and illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material.

Last year in July, Snyder was arrested for soliciting and receiving nude pictures of juveniles in exchange for the promise of money. Snyder posed as a talent scout and a photographer online and created fake social media accounts, where he advertised his modeling agency.

"Mr. Snyder preyed on young girls to satisfy his own perverted thoughts," said Prosecutor Walsh. "Using social media, he promised money to get nude pictures of pre-teen girls. This is a good reminder for parents to check their child's cell phone and social media accounts for predators like Mr. Snyder."

Judge McCarty also designated Snyder as a Tier II sex offender. Once he is released from prison, Snyder will have to register with the sheriff every six months for 25 years.
