AKRON -- A Twinsburg man Tuesday will have to spend six years in prison for shaking his three-month old, which caused serious injury to the child's brain.
A Summit County Common Pleas judge, Christine Croce, sentenced 31-year-old William J. Rist, of Twinsburg, Tuesday in court. Rist pleaded guilty to one count of felonious assault, a felony of the second degree.
The charge stems from a February 2014 incident, where Rist shook his three-month-old son. The baby sustained serious brain injuries.
