PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — In the orthodox religion the liturgy is sung.
But on this day in church's all around the country including in Parma-- People are praying for Ukraine
Tanya Drozgovska was there. "Young people my cousins all my cousins in the war," she said.
"A war that makes no sense," says Orest Pelts from Parma.

A people attacked by Russia. The war thousands of mile away in Eastern Europe. Nika Humeniuk family lives there. She attends Ursuline College
"I'm a student athlete and trying to play basketball there while my family is struggles and trying to survive everyday."
It is about survival. Nika's family made it out of the war zone expect for her father. The men must stay behind and fight. Women are fighting too. Fighting for the survival of democracy in Ukraine Mark Koziy is 15 years old.
"If I was in the area I would stay and fight," Koziy said.
As the chanting continue church goers cried, hung their heads in disbelief and prayed like they never have before.
Senator Rob Portman and congresswoman Marcie Kaptur prayed with them.
Praying for a miracle is Nika. Her father is on the front line. She can't imagine life without him.
"I try not to think about it but of course those thoughts have crossed my mind I've cried the last couple hours about that."
