CLEVELAND — Just six weeks out from the 2020 president election, the Greater Cleveland Association of Black Journalists (GCLEABJ) is hosting a forum to better understand what Black voters are thinking when it comes to selecting the next leader of our country.
As the Republican candidate President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate former Vice President Joe Biden battle it out for undecided voters, what's on the hearts and minds of Ohio voters will undoubtedly play a major role in who wins the presidency.
The event, titled "Trump vs. Biden and the Black vote," will feature commentary from leadership on both the sides of the aisle from the Greater Cleveland area, beginning at 7 p.m. on September 22.
Donna Walker Brown will represent the voice of the right as Executive Committee Chair of the Cuyahoga County Republican Party.
From the left, attendees will hear from Shontel Brown, who chairs the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party.
The event will be co-hosted by 3News anchor Russ Mitchel, who also serves as Vice President of Broadcast for GCLEABJ, and GCLEABJ's Vice President of Print Rhonda Crowder.
The forum is free and open to the public. Those interested can register online to attend the virtual forum, with limited availability.
The forum will also stream live on GCLEABJ's Facebook page.
As a reminder, the deadline to register to vote in the 2020 president election in Ohio is October 5.
